Fall in Panama City: Events & Things to Do in 2026

Fall in Panama City looks a little different than it does in most of the country.

Instead of pulling out heavy coats and preparing for snow, we're still enjoying the water, outdoor dining and some beautiful Florida sunsets. But cooler temperatures and a packed local event calendar make fall one of the most enjoyable times of year to get out and explore Panama City and Panama City Beach.

From pirates and Oktoberfest to live music, motorcycles, classic cars and one of the biggest endurance races in the country, there's plenty happening around Bay County this October and November.

Here are some of the fall 2026 events we're looking forward to around Panama City.

Fright Nights in Historic Downtown Panama City

October 1–31, 2026

Halloween lasts a little longer in Downtown Panama City.

Fright Nights returns for its sixth year with a month of Halloween-themed experiences at the Panama City Center for the Arts. The event combines art, local history, spooky attractions and community activities throughout October.

It's a fun excuse to head downtown, have dinner nearby and add a little Halloween spirit to your October.

The Renaissance portion adds a marketplace, demonstrations and additional live entertainment.

Kids have an excuse to dress like pirates, adults can enjoy the entertainment, and everyone gets a weekend near the Gulf.

Seafood and fishing belong on any Panama City fall calendar.

The 2nd Annual PCB Seafood Festival & Fishing Rodeo returns to Capt. Anderson's Marina beginning October 9. The event appears on the official Panama City Beach fall calendar alongside the season's larger festivals.

For anyone who loves the fishing and seafood culture of Bay County, this is one to keep on the radar.

Panama City Beach Oktoberfest

October 16–18, 2026

You don't need to fly to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest.

The Panama City Beach Oktoberfest takes place October 16–18 at Aaron Bessant Park, with German food, beer, live entertainment and family activities.

The festival includes a large Oktoberfest-style tent, outdoor beer gardens and traditional food such as brats and giant pretzels. There are also activities designed for families and children.

Thunder Beach Fall Motorcycle Rally

You'll probably know when Thunder Beach arrives even if you forget to put it on the calendar.

The Thunder Beach Motorcycle Fall Rally runs October 21–25, bringing riders from around the country to Panama City Beach.

Events are spread across multiple venues and include vendors, live music, motorcycle-related activities and plenty of bikes cruising around PCB.

Even if you aren't a rider, it's one of those weekends when the atmosphere around the beach noticeably changes.

Backstage Pass in Downtown Panama City

Through October 22, 2026

For something more relaxed, spend an evening listening to live music by the water.

The Backstage Pass fall concert series runs through October 22 on the Marina Lawn in Downtown Panama City.

The concerts are free, and visitors are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or folding chairs. With downtown restaurants and cafés nearby, it's an easy way to turn a concert into an entire evening downtown.

IRONMAN Florida

November 7, 2026

November 7 is a big day in Panama City Beach.

IRONMAN Florida returns with athletes taking on the full 140.6-mile triathlon.

You certainly don't have to compete to be part of it. Watching athletes take on the course and cheering from the sidelines can be an experience of its own.

Just keep the event in mind when making plans that weekend, since a race of this size can affect traffic and activity around the beach.

Emerald Coast Cruizin' Car Show

Beginning November 12, 2026

If classic cars are more your speed, November brings the Emerald Coast Cruizin' Car Show to Frank Brown Park.

The official Panama City Beach calendar lists the fall show beginning November 12. The event attracts hot rods, classic vehicles and car enthusiasts to the area.

Even if you're not a serious collector, walking around looking at restored cars makes for a fun fall outing.

Beach Home for the Holidays

Beginning November 27, 2026

Fall eventually gives way to the holiday season, and Panama City Beach wastes very little time making the transition.

Beach Home for the Holidays returns beginning November 27 at Aaron Bessant Park.

It's a fitting way to wrap up fall: Thanksgiving weekend, holiday festivities and Florida's version of the start of winter.

Palm trees instead of snow-covered pines?

We'll take it.

Why We Love Fall in Panama City

Summer gets most of the attention, but fall may be one of the best times to actually live in Panama City.

The community calendar stays busy, there are plenty of reasons to get outside, and you can experience everything from a downtown concert to a major sporting event without giving up the coastal lifestyle that makes this area special.

It's also a great season to support local restaurants, shops and businesses while you're out exploring.

At Panama City Storage, we're proud to be part of this community. Whether you've lived here for years, recently moved to Bay County or are just discovering everything Panama City has to offer, we hope you'll get out and enjoy some of these local events this fall.
